Obviously a really thin year for hotels stays, and travel in general. Got a few in, here's my 2020 pics out of my hotel window's.
Again, the challenge is, no multiple photos, only one actuation of the view out of my room window.
Every time I stay in a hotel, I take one photo from the window as part of a personal challenge. It started as a simple idea, but over time, it’s become a meaningful ritual. Each window I look out of offers a snapshot of a unique moment, a fleeting glimpse into a new place, and an opportunity to capture the essence of where I am.
The view from a hotel window often tells its own story. Whether it’s a bustling cityscape, a serene natural landscape, or an unexpected angle of a hidden alley, the frame holds a perspective that’s temporary and often overlooked by others. The challenge for me is to find something in each scene that sparks curiosity—something that might not immediately grab attention but becomes more intriguing the longer you look at it.
There’s a sense of connection in this ritual, even though the places I visit are always changing. It’s a reminder that no matter how far I travel, the experience is defined by these small, quiet moments—an ordinary window with an extraordinary view. The photos have become a visual diary of my travels, each one a snapshot of not just a place but a time in my life. As I look through them, I’m reminded of the variety of experiences I’ve had, and how every window holds the potential for a new story to tell.
